| Calling all plane spotters |
Did you know that we are on the Mach Loop? Really good sitings can be made from viewpoints on the Cader Mountain range. (use Google to search for sites - amazing photos)
|
| The Blue Lake |
We have recently had a guest staying who came to the area specifically to visit the Blue Lake which she last saw as a child. By coincidence the lake was featured on the BBC 1 programme Secret Britain on Sunday evening 22nd August. It is a very special place in an old quarry above the coastal village of Fairbourne and well worth a visit. It is also in the book Wild Swimming for those of you who like a very cold dip!!

| Snowdon Mountain Railway |
.The railway is now closed and re opens mid March depending on the weather.
It is possible to book online or by phone on 0844 493 8120.

| Mawddach Way |
The Mawddach Way is a new walk of approx 50 km which uses existing paths and permissive footpaths to make a circuit of the hills on either side of the Mawddach estuary passing through woodland, pasture and open country. The walk has been split into three manageable sections of approx 12 km. More details can be found on the website
www.mawddachway.co.uk
Guests who have done the walk have been very impressed with the route and commented on the fact that it gives them a whole new perspective on the estuary although in some places the signage could be better.
We understand that funding is being sought to improve the signage.
|
| Gift vouchers |
